The Real Presence of Jesus

At Mass, during the Liturgy of the Eucharist, bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit and the instrumentality of the priest. The Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Christ is truly present under the appearances of bread and wine.

"I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.”    John 6:51

First Communion
Children typically receive Holy Communion for the first time around the age of seven, or in second grade. Together, parents and the Sacred Heart staff prepare children to receive the Eucharist. We offer parents the opportunity to attend a series of refresher classes, emphasizing the importance and beauty of the Eucharist.
